So… Mom took HoHo in to the vet yesterday, so they could get a urine sample from him. They’re still trying to figure out why his blood calcium is high.
And… he had a fever AGAIN when they took his temp, so they kept him overnight. Sigh.
Still no clue what’s causing it, but thank God I never dropped his pet insurance. Blew past the deductible and now it’s paying for 90% of all the tests. Whew.
Petplan is making it way less stressful. So glad I covered him when he was a kitten.
Most folks… might not make sense. But over the years I’ve had cats with: serious flea allergies (pre frontline/advantage, and her fur fell out if you put a flea collar on her), bad back, brittle bone syndrome (rescued kitten), full on psychotic (cat truly only I loved), HCM Hypercardio myopathy x2 when young, kitty IBS, food allergies, chronic gingivitis and allergies (that’s Twinkie, notice she’s only had her fangs left since she was about 1)… and that doesn’t include what’s going on with HoHo.
Love the little buggers, all of them were super sweet except the psychotic one (And she was fuzzy stalker sweet to me-obsessive) but I seem to attract the ones who need medical insurance.
Keep your fingers crossed for HoHo. Hopefully this will be managed by diet and they DON’T find a direct cause.
